I put significant effort into creating detailed review slides to help Yale Master of Asset Management students grasp various course materials. These slides build on the excellent teaching of Professor Paul Fontanier, Andrea Frazzini & Ronen Israel, Bryan Kelly, Saman Majd & Jeffrey Rosenbluth, and Stefano Giglio. Students have found the slides useful in explaining core concepts clearly. If you’re interested in accessing them, please feel free to email me.

I have been fortunate to receive consistently outstanding evaluations, with students rating me 4.8–4.9 out of 5 in overall TA effectiveness. I am especially grateful that students have not only reflected their appreciation in formal course evaluations but have also taken the time to share their feedback through personal messages to my faculty advisors.
Tianshu is the best TA we've had; he explains things really clearly, and I enjoy going to his TA office hour every week. In fact, his TA office hour is a must for all students, because we count on him to explain concepts that weren't clear in class. Also, Tianshu is very responsive and flexible. He even made 70+ slides for our final review, making our lives much easier. Many thanks to him. If he were a professor someday, I would love to take his class. He's the best TA ever! No weakness identified.
Tianshu is one of the best TAs I've ever had in my four years at Yale. He is a clear, thoughtful, patient teacher who synthesized complex concepts, distilling them into simple building blocks.
Tianshu is undeniably one of the pillars of the AM program. His contributions are invaluable, and his role extends far beyond just being a TA for us for APT. In every session he conducts, he takes the time to address questions from all courses, not just the one he's assigned to. [...] His depth of knowledge is remarkable. He not only provides detailed insights into the current coursework but also connects them to broader topics like quantitative methods and machine learning. His ability to offer both immediate assistance and long-term perspective makes him an invaluable resource. In terms of strengths, Tianshu is a force of positivity. [...] While my primary task is to assess his role as a TA for Asset Pricing Theory, I believe his contributions go far beyond that. [...] He is an incredible asset, and his presence has the potential to benefit not just the Asset Management program but the broader SOM community.
Beyond the classroom, I place strong emphasis on advising and mentorship.
Since 2022, I have actively supported students in Yale’s Master of Asset Management program with career development, providing guidance on recruiting and career paths in venture capital, macro research, quantitative finance, and academic research. Many students have sought my advice not only for technical preparation but also for navigating the broader challenges of balancing coursework, recruiting, and long-term career planning.
In addition, I have been privileged to advise U.S. high school students on student-led research projects since 2020.
